A tour motorcoach doesn’t break down quietly. When one goes down, there are often forty or fifty passengers aboard, a schedule falling apart, and a driver who needs the situation handled calmly and fast. It’s one of the jobs the Heavy Rescue Division is built for.
People first
Before a bus recovery is a towing job, it’s a people problem. Our first priority on scene is making sure passengers are safe and clear — coordinating with the driver and, when needed, with the tour company or a relief coach. Only once the people are handled does the recovery itself take over.
Towing a coach the right way
Motorcoaches are heavy, long, and air-braked — a different animal from a straight truck. Our operators know how to cage the brakes, protect the low bodywork and mirrors, and rig to the right points so the coach arrives at the shop the way it left the shoulder. We’ve handled everything from luxury tour coaches to transit and school buses.
